The forever normal of constant change creates significant stress and anxiety. We are in an age of paradox, facing never-ending, seemingly contradictory choices. Work or family? Planet or profits? Short-term or long-term? Peace or prosperity? These need not be contradictory choices. Approaching seeming paradoxes with an either/or mindset turns too frequently into neither/nor outcomes; a both/and mindset creates more/than a possibility.

In this interactive discussion, innovation expert Scott Anthony draws on his research and fieldwork to describe:

  • The “Tao of Disruptive Change” – the eight paradoxical demands leaders face today
  • The “Paradox Choice” – how adaptive capacity can allow leaders to turn paradoxes from binding constraints to enabling opportunities
  • “Paradox Practices” – four simple ways to develop the ability to calmly confront chaos and master change
