Is everyone in the company responsible for innovation? How to balance the worlds where your company can focus on operations but also, growth and innovation? How do large organizations like Amazon exploit and explore new opportunities? How many million dollar investments in projects would you have to make to create one multi-billion dollar success?

According to Alexander Osterwalder, well-known for the development of the Business Model Canvas, this ambition requires an understanding of different types of innovations, an ability to learn from failure and change in several key areas like culture, processes, people, leadership and strategy execution.

In this talk, Alex reveals interesting insights about managing growth and innovation while balancing excellence in strategy execution. "There are more companies that are becoming Amazon like, that put the acceptance of failure at the center of their strategy. Even though Amazon is the best place in the world to fail but the failure to expand your salesforce while you're building new warehouses or managing factories is not an option."
